The Aglianico grape, as the story goes, was the favourite of Alexander the Great, who brought it on his travels across Magna Graecia. This variety embodies the Greek soul, its legacy, and its conquering spirit. That same spirit inspired the making of this wine, whose journey from planting the first vines to production was relatively long, resulting in a wine with a Greek soul and an Argentine heart. After 18 months in French oak barrels, it is a wine marked by acidity, making it unique and unmistakable. Krontiras Winery is located on the slopes of Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. It was there that Constantino and Silvina Krontiras decided to unite their passion for wine and begin producing organic and biodynamic wines. Grounded in this philosophy, they created an excellent environment for vinification and ageing, employing an architecture inspired by biodynamic principles based on ancient “sacred geometry.” The estate spans about 22 hectares, producing outstanding Argentine wines.
