Quinta de la Rosa is a pioneer in the Douro region, renowned for its top‑tier wines and ports, with a history that began in 1815. Despite undergoing a few changes, it has always remained within the founding family, and in 1988 re‑entered the market with the production of its first house Port. Today, Quinta de la Rosa is represented by the wines Quinta de la Rosa and Quinta das Bandeiras, which are celebrated not only for the quality of their ranges but also for their hospitality and restaurant services, offering a fresh perspective on the Douro. The estate covers about 62 hectares, planted on the northern bank of the river, producing wines that are rich and exhibit notable acidity, minerality, and freshness. Quinta das Bandeiras, whose wines include Passagem, is a 100‑hectare property acquired in 2005, of which 38 hectares are vineyard‑planted. (Illustrative image)
