Lagoalva The long tradition of Quinta da Lagoalva as a wine producer was confirmed in 1888 at the Portuguese Industrial Exhibition, where it presented 600 wine barrels. The red wine Lagoalva Reserva is produced from 45 hectares of vineyards planted in the best terroirs of the Tagus, combining national and international varieties with proven enological excellence. The vineyards and cellar benefit from modern management systems that blend effective vinification with versatile options, drawing on both “New World” and traditional European approaches. **Vinification:** Each variety is vinified separately, with the final blend made later. Grapes are mechanically harvested at night, undergo three days of pre‑fermentative maceration, then alcoholic fermentation occurs in stainless‑steel tanks at 24 °C. The musts are pressed hydraulically, and malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, where the wine matures for ten months. Winemakers: Diogo Campilho / Pedro Pinhão.
