This Lancer from José Maria da Fonseca, hailing from the distinctive Setúbal Peninsula, certainly isn’t shy. The Avesso grape, with its wonderfully saline and concentrated character, really lets you feel the influence of that limestone-rich terroir. Critics have rightly awarded it the Reconhecido prize – a fitting recognition for a wine with such a distinctive personality. It would pair beautifully with a grilled fish and a squeeze of lemon, wouldn’t it?
