This Lapostolle Apalta is a wine clearly born from the slopes of the Uco Valley – a seriously imposing beast crafted primarily from Malbec, with a subtle whisper of Cabernet Sauvignon. The fact that it spent its time aging in century-old American oak barrels certainly adds to the depth and undeniable elegance. It scooped the coveted “Best in Show” at the International Wine & Spirit Competition, and frankly, it’s a wine that deserves to be paired with a particularly fine Argentinian roast or a proper cut of beef.
