Founded in the early 1980s, Le Macchiole is one of Bolgheri’s historic wineries and has become a benchmark for quality Tuscan wine. The founders, Eugenio Campolmi and Cinzia Merli, were pioneers in the region and significantly boosted Bolgheri’s reputation with wines full of personality that became a regional symbol. Today, Cinzia runs the business with essential support from her sons Elia and Mattia, who are key figures alongside a close-knit team of enthusiastic colleagues. Le Macchiole continually adapts and evolves through a careful, contemporary reading of wine and terroir; its commitment to organic farming and sustainability gives its wines an even more refined, elegant, and authentic style.
