Red wine produced from Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, it is intriguing yet resolute, exhibiting an exceptional balance that the Maremma terroir has nurtured. Fattoria Le Mortelle lies in the heart of Maremma, Tuscany, a few kilometres from Castiglione della Pescaia, in a position that is both extraordinary and fascinating due to the nature and history of the surrounding areas. Since 1999 the family has worked both in the vineyards and the new winery, convinced that this emerging Italian wine region is highly suitable for producing quality wines, where the terroir and the grown varieties can be expressed at their best. The estate covers 270 hectares, of which 170 are vineyards. The Antinori family has been producing wine for over six centuries. In 1385 Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri. Over 26 generations, the family has always managed the activity directly, making innovative and sometimes bold choices while always maintaining an unwavering respect for tradition and territory.
