This “Legado do Monte” from the heart of the Alentejo isn’t just refreshing – it’s a proper statement. Initially shimmering with a citrus hue, it bursts with aromas of passionfruit, beautifully balanced by floral notes thanks to a blend of Roupeiro, Fernão Pires, Arinto and Antão Vaz. The finish is remarkably long, practically demanding a second glass. MC Wines, a family operation established in 2012, have clearly been winning awards – including the coveted Golden Wine of Portugal in 2018 – and it’s a wine that deserves to be paired with grilled fish or seafood.
