This Aloxe-Corton from Louis Latour is undeniably a wine that enjoys indulging. With open-vessel fermentation hinting at a very hands-on approach – almost a personal touch – and ageing in around 15% medium toasted French oak, the winemakers aren’t shy about letting the wood contribute to the complexity. It's a Burgundy that, despite its heritage, clearly knows how to deliver, and critics have already recognised its merits. It would pair beautifully with a good orange duck, wouldn’t you agree?
