This Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon, having spent a rather dramatic 12 months in French oak, seems to have had a delightfully intense adolescence. The lengthy maceration, with those daily cap punches, suggests this wine wasn’t content to simply be a good neighbour – it clearly wants to be the star of the show. The result is a wine with excellent structure and complexity, ideally suited to pairing with a hearty roast or perhaps even a duck with red berries.
