Very few producers, especially in Madeira wine, have experienced a revolution as significant as the one that occurred with Barbeito. To go from a bulk wine supplier to becoming a reference in the Madeira wine region is a remarkable feat. Everything began in 1991 when Ricardo Freitas joined the family business and, together with the Japanese Kinoshita, decided to turn Barbeito into one of the most important Madeira wine producers.
