Veiga França wines belong to a brand with a long history at Henriques & Henriques, founded by João Gonçalves Henriques in 1850. After his death in 1912, a partnership was formed between his two sons, Francisco Eduardo and João Joaquim Henriques, which gave rise to the name Henriques & Henriques. From the very beginning, Henriques & Henriques has held a prominent place in viticulture and winemaking. In 1913 the family interests were incorporated into a family company that, in 1925, began exporting its wines instead of supplying other exporters locally. Since then the company has embraced the latest technological innovations while preserving an unaltered family tradition that has lasted 200 years in producing the finest Madeira wines.
