That Magnum Passadouro Reserva – apparently a favourite of the Wine Spectator – boasts a deeply dark colour, reminiscent of evenings spent along the Douro. It releases aromas of ripe black fruit, with a subtle hint of spice that hints at a well-spent age. The palate is undeniably powerful, showcasing firm tannins, but thankfully tempered by a remarkable concentration. Perfect with grilled beef, naturally.
