Description

Planted in 1158 by the monks of Maizières Abbey, the village of Pernand‑Vergelesses hosts one of Burgundy’s oldest vineyards. It is from here that the monovarietal Pinot Noir, Maison Champy Pernand‑Vergelesses Rouge, originates—a red wine bursting with bright red and black fruit notes, a pleasant freshness, and a smoky‑mineral finish that recalls its chalky marl soils.
