This vineyard, with its vines clinging to the soil of Estremoz for nearly 40 years, clearly held a few secrets. The result is a white wine with a subtly unsettling shimmer, driven by Alvarinho’s refreshing influence and a delicate toasty note, courtesy of barrel ageing with both French and Hungarian oak. It’s surprisingly complex on the palate, offering zesty tangerine notes alongside a mineral intensity – apparently born from a deep love for these ancient vines. Seriously, it’s a beautiful tribute to tradition, and would pair wonderfully with grilled fish or a fragrant herb-crusted chicken.
