When the expedition to the New World set sail in 1495, it carried wines from Villalba del Alcor. In old Castilian, Villalba was called Villalúa, and it is here that the Marqués de Villalúa cellar is located, closely linked to this event and its region. This wine celebrates that historical fact. A monovarietal Zalema, harvested at three distinct times and partially barrel‑fermented, followed by a five‑month maturation period, delivers a very intriguing aromatic complexity.
