This Abafado from Martins da Costa certainly seems to have been contemplating life – dried fruit notes intertwine with a persistent balsamic character. Hints of spice linger subtly, balanced by a remarkable equilibrium and a restrained sweetness, a true reflection of the Bairrada terroir. Absolutely divine with a good aged cheese, wouldn’t you agree?
