Mestiço O Vinho Tinto Maduro is a lovingly blended wine from Ljubomir Stanisic, Luís Pedro and Dirk Niepoort, with 50% Vinha Velha Covas do Douro and 50% Vinha Velha Santo Adrião. More than a chronological step, it is a characteristic: a vital fullness, coherence, assertiveness. A round that shuffles all geometries. A fullness that never overflows. A wood with veined ridges on the palate. A certain starving madness. Moderate, mature, transformed. Woman, adult, older. It’s love, adoration! Maturation. Originating from a rainy winter followed by a moderate spring, the vine developed well, with a cool June that delayed vegetative growth. The harvest began in the early weeks of August in the warmer zones and finished at the higher elevations at the end of September. After a selection in the vineyard, a second selection was made at the choice table. One year of aging in concrete vats and vinification in conical stainless steel tanks. The wine aged for 22 months in French oak barrels. Climate: Mediterranean. Soil: Slate. Analytical parameters: pH: 3.65, Total Acidity: 5.60 g L⁻¹.
