After years of selling to other producers, Michel Ogier only began bottling his own wines in the 1980s. Stephane, his son, took the reins of the domaine in the late 1990s and built a strong reputation. After a decade of winemaking, he has become one of the largest producers of Côte‑Rôtie. He cultivates small plots along the Côte‑Rôtie. His wines are typical of Côte‑Rôtie yet refined in a modern style. Nothing is overly systematic here; every detail of the vinification process is carefully considered and techniques are adapted as needed. The wines are aged in oak barrels for 18 to 24 months, with 20‑100 % new oak. They are glorious—charming and seductive, yet possessing the density and breadth of a true Côte‑Rôtie.
