The bottles of aged wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. Garrafeira Nacional is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, normally, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we inform that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle, aromas are subject to different evolutions. In this way, Garrafeira Nacional cannot be held responsible for the product quality, given that it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure you do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which a vintage wine tends to develop. (Illustrative image only)
