The Molares Escolha rosé delights with its delicate light pink hue and captivating aroma of wild berries. On the palate it offers an enveloping freshness, with a subtle vegetal touch that gives it character and balance. Derived from loamy soils at 200 m altitude, this rosé expresses the authenticity of its terroir, resulting in a light, refreshing, and versatile wine, perfect for relaxed moments. From around 1700, the Meireles family began cultivating grapes and producing wine in Celorico de Basto, a municipality in the Minho Province of northern Portugal. In 1980, Gonçalo Cristovam Meireles Dias, married to D. Angela Maria Meireles Dias, took over Quinta da Cerca, one of the beautiful properties of the Meireles family. From that time onward they invested in expanding wine production in the Vinho Verde region, building a new cellar with greater capacity. Today, Adega Molares owns roughly 50 hectares, producing red, white, and rosé wines. (illustrative image)
