Bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Wine Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet always preserves the visual appearance appropriate to their age. We select brands and regions that, by nature, exhibit distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle its aromas evolve in various ways. Therefore, the National Wine Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe beforehand, which will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, do so patiently to detect the sediment that an older wine tends to develop. *(illustrative image only)*
