The bottles of aged wines may exhibit traces of dust and damaged labels, as expected for their age. The National Cellar commits to store all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet always opts to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, normally, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we inform that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle, aromas are subject to different evolutions. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, given it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine air out beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure to do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which a typical aged wine tends to produce. (image purely illustrative)
