Description

Monte do Limpo is a small, typical Alentejo estate situated at the foot of the Castle of Monsaraz, steeped in legends of bourgeois and noble knights. Quality wine production began there in 1998. The 8‑hectare vineyard sits on chalky soil with ample sun exposure, cultivating dominant varieties such as Trincadeira, Aragonês, Tinta Caiada, Moreto, Touriga Franca, Alicante Bouschet, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Since 2005, enotourism has focused on promoting the wine culture and its ties to local tradition and heritage, offering visits and themed events. (illustrative image only)
