This Montes Claros is delightfully fresh, like it’s just stepped out of a fruit basket – and it delivers. Expect vibrant citrus notes interwoven with hints of sun-dried tropical fruits, a clear indication of careful maturation on the clay-calcareous and schistous soils of the Alentejo. Thanks to enologist Óscar Gato's meticulous ‘batonnage sur lies’, this wine underwent a four-month ageing in French oak barrels, resulting in a wonderfully balanced and persistent finish. It’s a safe and sophisticated bet, perfect alongside pizzas or grilled seafood, boasting a refreshing acidity of 5.8g/L. Don’t be surprised by the intriguing sediment that forms in the bottle – a testament to its natural character and complexity.
