The bottles of older wines may show dust traces and damaged labels, which is normal given their age. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, by standard, reveal distinct characteristics in old wine tastings. However, we inform that wine is a living organism that, when exposed to time, can still evolve inside a bottle, with aromas subject to different changes. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe first, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years sealed. If you decide to decant before serving, be patient and watch for sediment, which an older wine tends to form. (Illustrative image)
