This Morgado “Sta Caterina” Reserva Magnum is a wine that takes itself very seriously – a real throwback in terms of concentration. Primarily made with Touriga Nacional and Trincadeira, it boasts a substantial body, very much in keeping with the Douro region, alongside well-integrated tannins, a testament to its aging. Expect dark fruit and spice notes, reminiscent of a Spanish terroir, and a lingering finish. Seriously, it’s fantastic with a hearty beef roast or even a good lamb stew – a wine that doesn’t shy away from a flavourful meal.
