This Moscatel Thasos from the Setúbal Peninsula seems to have had a rather spirited youth. Spending two vintages “talking” to the stem – a habit, we presume, – has clearly imbued it with a distinctive character. The result is a remarkably elegant and complex wine, best enjoyed with a dish to tame its richness and luscious fruit, perhaps a classic bacalhau à brás.
