Niepoort O Vinho Redoma Reserva Branco is made from old‑vine grapes planted at 600 metres altitude on micaceous soils. Since its creation in 1995, the main goal in producing this wine has been to express the character of the Douro’s old vines. **Vinification**: The white wines fully express Niepoort’s profile, standing out for their tension, freshness and energy—characteristics that define its identity. Grapes were rigorously selected upon entering the cellar, followed by a slow, delicate pressing. Without pellicular maceration, the must rested for 24 hours, then underwent a slow alcoholic fermentation in barrels. The Redoma Reserva matured in barrel for nine months. Malolactic fermentation was carried out in its entirety. **Year**: 2024 was marked by a warm, wet winter that significantly boosted the soil’s water reserves. Above‑average temperatures persisted until spring, while summer exhibited the typical Douro profile—hot and dry. Thanks to vine balance and good soil water availability, the vegetative cycle proceeded regularly and healthily, producing high‑quality grapes. In the Demarcated Region of Douro, 2024 proved to be an evenly balanced and consistent production year, very close to 2023. At Niepoort, the white wine harvest began on 17 August. **Pairing**: Grilled fish, confit cod in olive oil and garlic, lemon‑thyme roast chicken with a touch of cream, mushroom risotto. **Awards** 94/100 – James Suckling – Top 100 Portuguese Wines 2023
