Starting as a merchant in the Port wine market, he quickly established a business that would prove prosperous and enduring. Thus, in the fifth generation, Dirk Niepoort was born, an irreplaceable wine producer recognized as one of the most important figures working for Portuguese wine. He has collaborated with several dozen producers, helping them improve their wines and understand their vineyards, while also crafting his own legacy with those who are always creating irreverent wines.
