With a very intense ruby hue and made from Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz, this wine offers a solid aromatic structure, where the fruit—quite prominent—melds with gentle toasted notes, giving it a fresh and very elegant character. It has good body on the palate, very soft tannins, good persistence, and an elegant freshness that makes it highly food‑friendly. The Quinta do Covão is located in the scenic surroundings of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, in Sandomil, near the riverbed of the Alva. Spanning 50 hectares, the estate is perfectly harmonised with its landscape and has been devoted for three generations to winemaking, characterised by a unique identity imparted by the Dão region.
