Niepoort Redoma Rosé

Description

The colour is a bright onion hue reminiscent of a classic Provence rosé. The delicate nose reveals notes of violet, red fruit, and rhubarb, along with nutty aromas from fermentation in new French oak barrels. This is a serious rosé, full of complexity and character. On the palate it offers good acidity and a light structure, finishing with a dry and spicy finish. In the national wine panorama, there is no producer more revered than Niepoort, and its long history began in 1842 when the first Van Der Niepoort arrived in Portugal. Having entered the Port wine market as a trader, he quickly established his business, which would prove prosperous and enduring. Thus, in the fifth generation, Dirk Niepoort was born, an indispensable producer in the wine world, recognized as one of the most important figures who has worked—and continues to work—in support of Portuguese wine. He has collaborated with several dozen producers, helping them improve their wines and understand their vineyards, while also preparing his own legacy alongside those who constantly create irreverent wines. Today, Dirk Niepoort collaborates on many other projects, in practically all Portuguese wine regions and some overseas ones. (Illustrative image only)
