This Niepoort Rotulo from the Dão is delightfully youthful – almost as if it’s been pulling a fast one! The lengthy maceration, involving Alfrocheiro, Jaen and Touriga Nacional, has gifted this wine with a remarkable freshness. The cement fermentation certainly seems to have been the secret to its effortlessly cool character. It pairs beautifully with a flaky white fish and roasted potatoes – a classic combination that really lets the wine’s vibrancy shine.
