When it entered the Port wine market as a merchant, it quickly established a business that would prove prosperous and fruitful. Thus, in the fifth generation, Dirk Niepoort was born—a pivotal figure in the wine world, recognized as one of the most important personalities who has worked, and continues to work, for Portuguese wine. He has collaborated with dozens of producers, helping them improve their wines and understand their vineyards, while also shaping his own legacy alongside those who always create irreverent wines.
