Originating from clay‑limestone soils under a Mediterranean climate with Atlantic influence, this Ninfa Escolha red is made from Alfrocheiro and Touriga Nacional grapes. After ten months of ageing in French oak barrels, it displays a bright ruby hue, with aromas of black fruit, spices and subtle smokiness that meld into a round, harmonious and full profile. João Teodósio Matos Barbosa, grandson of the founder of Caves Dom Teodósio, championed a low‑intervention, biologically‑based approach, introducing new grape varieties and blends. With estates in the Tejo and Alto Alentejo regions, his legacy continues to grow through authentic, terroir‑faithful wines. (illustrative image only)
