The Estrangeiro The Estrangeiro is a field blend from old vines planted on granite soils. The region benefits from a temperate climate, marked by high diurnal temperature swings, especially during ripening and harvest, and frequent morning mists – all factors that contribute to the wine’s elegance and complexity. The Estrangeiro presents itself as a great Dão wine: sophisticated, deep, and of remarkable elegance. **Vinification** The grapes were hand‑picked in 12‑kg crates during the early hours of September 17. After 24 h of cold skin maceration, fermentation occurred in 500‑litre French oak barrels for 15 days. Once alcoholic fermentation finished, the wine was subjected to daily bâtonnage, enhancing complexity, texture, and integration. **Maturation** Maturation in French oak barrels for 9 months. **Analytical Parameters** Total acidity: 5.50 g dm⁻³ Volatile acidity: 0.30 g dm⁻³ pH: 3.38 **Denomination** DOC Dão **Technical Team** Viticulture: Catarina Vieira | Amândio Cruz Enology: Catarina Vieira | Pedro Ribeiro **Awards** 18.5/20 – Grandes Escolhas (2020 harvest) **Allergen Information** Contains sulfites.
