Working with the varieties regarded as the region’s queen grapes—Alvarinho, Avesso, Arinto, Loureiro and Vinhão—and pairing them with others that are taking deep root in this excellent terroir, António Sousa aims to express, through his personal touch, the perfect symbiosis between terroir and grape varieties. He seeks an aromatic balance on one side and a unique complexity on the other. From this synergy arise two distinctly different ranges that reflect the potential of the grapes and the various production methods. Thus, you can experience the aromatic range (representing “A” in AB), which is younger, irreverent and fresh, and the barrel‑aged range (representing “B” in AB), which is more serious, highly complex, balanced, and very food‑friendly.
