Working with the vines regarded as the region’s royal varieties—Alvarinho, Avesso, Arinto, Loureiro and Vinhão—and blending them with others that are taking root in this superb terroir, António Sousa aims to capture, through his personal touch, the perfect symbiosis between terroir and grape, seeking aromatic balance on one side and unique complexity on the other. From this union emerge two distinctly different ranges that showcase the potential of the varieties and the varied production methods. Thus, you can experience the aromatic range (representing the “A” in AB), younger, irreverent and fresh, or the barrel-aged version (representing the “B” in AB), more serious, highly complex, balanced and very food‑friendly.
