Pacheca Porto Tawny 30 Years is a wine that results from a batch of various Port wines that aged in oak barrels over many years in the cool cellar of Quinta da Pacheca. During ageing, the wine takes on its characteristic amber-gold colour. It presents an elegant nose, combining aromas of dried fruit with complex notes of chocolate, buttery caramel, and fine oak wood. Quinta da Pacheca, one of the most well‑known estates in the Douro, stands out for being among the first to bottle wines under its own label. The name of this Quinta has been referenced since 17 April 1738, when a dated document first mentions “da Pacheca” as belonging to D. Mariana Pacheco Pereira. It was not until 1903 that D. José Freire de Serpa Pimentel decided to develop his growing interest in oenology, purchasing the estate with the aim of dedicating himself to viticulture. Today, a century later, the new generation of the Serpa Pimentel family manages the Quinta: Maria, Catarina and José are the young faces of this family‑run enterprise.
