This Colheita Porto, with a brick‑red hue tinged with red and yellow, was crafted from a blend of grape varieties sourced from vineyards about 50 years old and aged in oak barrels for 23 years. On the nose it is intense, with notes of dried figs, caramel, walnuts and toasted almonds. With great volume and intensity, it is fresh and very elegant, with a balanced sweetness. Quinta da Pacheca, one of the most renowned estates in the Douro, stands out for being one of the first to bottle its own branded wines. The name of this Quinta has been referenced since 17 April 1738, when a dated document first mentions the Quinta “da Pacheca” as owned by D. Mariana Pacheco Pereira. It was only in 1903 that D. José Freire de Serpa Pimentel decided to develop his growing interest in enology, buying the property with the aim of dedicating himself to viticultural production. Today, a century later, the new generation of the Serpa Pimentel family takes over the management of the Quinta: Maria, Catarina, and José are the young faces of this family‑run enterprise.
