This estate, spanning 70 hectares and driven by a serious commitment to quality, focuses on red grapes across approximately 53 hectares. The gravelly, clay-rich soils, characteristic of the Lower Alentejo, clearly underpin the potential of the grapes – a likely blend of local varieties, no doubt – to reach their full expression. The Adega do Rocim, a wonderfully inventive project marrying wine and architecture, is the heart of this venture, reinforcing the region’s standing and pushing boundaries. A fantastic match with a hearty, grilled beef dish or a slow-cooked stew, really.
