According to its age, the wines may show marks left by time, such as dust residues on the bottles and/or some damage to the labels, which is common in wines that have been stored for decades. The National Winery commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it always opts to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We usually select the brands/regions that perform well in old‑wine competitions. However, wine is a living organism that, like others, is exposed to time, and even within a bottle, aromas evolve in different ways. Therefore, the National Winery cannot be held responsible for the quality of the wine, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open and let the bottle breathe beforehand, which will help release the wine’s natural aromas after so many years closed. Avoid decanting, as it may be too aggressive for old wines. (illustrative image)
