Quinta de la Rosa is a pioneer in the Douro region, renowned for its top‑class wines and port, with a history that began in 1815. Despite some changes, it has always remained within the founding family, and in 1988 resumed production with the house’s first port wine. Today, Quinta de la Rosa is represented by the wines Quinta de la Rosa and Quinta das Bandeiras, recognised not only for the quality of their ranges but also for their hotel and restaurant integration, offering a fresh perspective on the Douro. The estate covers about 62 hectares on the north bank of the river, producing wines rich in acidity, mineralisation and freshness. Quinta das Bandeiras, the 100‑hectare property acquired in 2005 with 38 hectares planted, produces the Passagem wines.
