This Douro Syrah from Passagem is a wonderfully perplexing wine. Fermented in stainless steel and aged for 18 months in Allier French oak, it delivers a remarkably elegant and vibrant foundation. Expect aromas of ripe black fruit, hints of chocolate reflecting the region’s character, and subtle smoked vegetable notes – reminiscent of a fire in the cellar.
