Paulo Laureano is one of Portugal’s most respected winemakers and a leading figure in Alentejo wine. A trained agronomist and enologist who studied in Portugal, Australia and Spain, he taught at the University of Évora for ten years before deciding to devote himself exclusively to what has driven him since 2003: designing wines. In particular, he focuses on the company he founded with his family in 1999, which has grown in importance in his life over time. Paulo Laureano calls himself a minimalist winemaker. For him, crafting wines is a passion—uncovering their aromas and flavours, evaluating and refining the elements that shape their identity and personality, and presenting them as true sources of pleasure.
