“This Pé de Ganso – aptly named, given its slightly enigmatic nature – is a wine carefully held back until Nuno Bastos deems it truly ready. Crafted solely from Baga grapes grown within the Adega Cravo’s vineyards, it’s a remarkable expression of the ‘Chenopodium Murale’ – a local herb that inspired the estate’s name. The wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel, followed by a brief aging in French oak barrels, resulting in a surprisingly ageable wine, ideally suited to complementing richer stews featuring prime cuts of meat or a perfectly grilled game dish.”
