According to its age, the wines may show signs left by time, such as dust traces on the bottles and/or some label damage—common in wines that have been stored for decades. The National Winery stores all wines at the correct temperature and humidity but always preserves the visual appearance inherent to their age. We typically select the marques/regions that normally perform well in old wine tastings. However, wine is a living organism, and like others, it is exposed to time; even within a bottle, aromas are subject to different evolutions. Thus, the National Winery cannot be held responsible for the quality of the wine, given that it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open and aerate the bottle beforehand, as this will help release the wine’s natural aromas after so many years sealed. Avoid decanting, as it may be too aggressive for old wines. (Illustrative image)
