This wine comes from six parcels so small that it would be pointless to vinify them separately. Its name, Nubiola, alludes to the appellation given to the Nebbiolo grape when it was discovered in the early 14th century—an appellation that gave its name to the Piedmontese denomination. This variety forms the backbone of the wine, which Pelissero regards as the gateway to his range of Barbarescos, the wine that lays the foundations and gives rise to the complexity of his blends. It is a traditional‑cut Barbaresco.
