The bottles of aged wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is normal given their age. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it chooses always to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We conduct a selection of brands/regions that, by default, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism that, even while sealed in a bottle, has aromas that evolve over time. Consequently, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe first, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years of closure. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which a typical old wine tends to develop. (Illustrative image)
