Let’s just say Max Schubert had a brilliant idea. This “Baby Grange” – his attempt to lay the groundwork for the legendary Grange – is remarkably impressive. It’s a wine clearly aiming to be a precursor, balancing the Cabernet Sauvignon’s backbone with a delightful Shiraz touch, and frankly, it’s much easier on the palate than its more famous sibling. Seriously, it’s fantastic with a good beef roast – particularly a prime cut – a pairing that truly lets the wine shine.
